What is your background?
I was raised in Texas but have been living in Lincoln for over 15 years so I have nearly no accent except for the overuse of the word "y'all". I met my husband, Mark, in our high school church group and we were married in May of 2003. We have a spunky son who we were blessed with through adoption and 2 "dog children". I attended college in Arkansas and worked primarily in the administrative side of the medical field prior to joining BancWise Realty as a loan officer and real estate agent over 6 years ago.

If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I'm really afraid of flying but some day I'd like to travel to Spain. My husband's family spent several summers in Spain and I'd love to experience some of the places they've talked about for years. We'd also like to make it back to Mexico where we took our honeymoon.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was younger, I wanted to be an early childhood education teacher because I volunteered with an EC class and the kids stole my heart. I ended up going to college for Journalism because I really enjoyed working on the paper and yearbook during high school.

What single event/person/thing has most changed your life?
My uncle died suddenly only weeks after marrying my aunt. It taught me a lot about the importance of family. I also learned that we don't always understand God's plan for our lives but to try our best to trust Him through the good and the bad.

What do you like most about helping people buy and sell a home?
I really enjoy building lasting relationships with clients whether it is selling their existing home and helping them buy their dream home or walking them through purchasing their first home. The absolute best feeling is seeing clients thrilled on closing day. Being young, I find it really exciting to be at the top of my field. In 2006, I was rated 8th in Lincoln among Realtors after selling 47 homes that year. Since then, I've remained in the top 40 agents in Lincoln.
